What Retao is

Retao is a social game between friends. A creator prepares a challenge, friends each pick one of its outcomes, and a jury names the outcome that happened.

Retao records the jury's answer and shows who stood where. It never holds, moves or settles anything of value: whatever the people in a challenge agree to play for is between them.

Your account

Get started gives you a guest account. You can then add an email address or a phone number and sign in with a one-time code sent to it.

Keep your sign-in codes to yourself: whoever holds one can sign in as you. One account is for one person.

Your challenges

Whoever creates a challenge is responsible for what it says, and for its outcomes being distinct, so that only one of them can happen.

Do not use a challenge or a name for anything unlawful, hateful or harassing.

A challenge is done when more than half of its jury votes for the same outcome. Retao records that outcome and does not review or overturn it.

Purchases

Your first challenge is free. To prepare more, you buy a pack of challenges, or Unlimited, bought once. Payment is handled by Stripe.

You pay the price the pricing page shows when you buy.

Text messages

When you sign in with a phone number or add one, Retao texts you a one-time code. A code is sent only when you ask for one, and message frequency varies: one message each time you ask. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Erasing your account

You can erase your account from the app at any time. What that deletes, and what stays for the other people in your challenges, is on the privacy page.
